Wintersport Côte d'Azur
The Côte d'Azur, too, has skiing areas worth visiting in winter months, but sometimes in summer as well. Below you will find information about the different areas.
Gréolières-les-Neiges
From all skiing areas in the south of France this one is nearest to the coast. At 27 kilometres (17 miles) from Grasse and 38 kilometres (24 miles) from Cannes. There are 15 ski pistes at an altitude between 1400 and 1800 metres, with a total length of some 30 kilometres (18 miles). Apart from that, this area is a wonderful place for walks in summer.

Val d'Allos
This area is 127 kilometres (80 miles) from Nice and has 2 skiing areas: Le Seignus at 1500 metres (5,000 feet) and La Foux at 1800 metres (6,000 feet). Together they share 230 kilometres (140 miles) of ski pistes.

Isola 2000
Isola 2000 is a very mundane ski resort with approximately 150 kilometres (95 miles) of ski pistes.

La Colmiane
This area is 70 kilometres (45 miles) from Nice and has France’s largest half-pipe. Skiing is at an altitude of 1450 and 1800 metres.

Auron
Auron has the highest mountain of the area, the Cime-du-Chavalet which measures 2450 metres (8,000 feet), and it also has 37 ski pistes with a total length of 130 kilometres (80 miles)

Valberg
This beautiful area is located 86 kilometres (53 miles) from Nice and has a skiing area at an altitude of 1700 metres (5,500 feet) with 90 kilometres (55 miles) of ski pistes. It is very suitable for children.
